Steve Hadfield More marvellous glitchy dubby goodness from Guerilla Biscuits. Chopped and sliced but always with a driving groove at its core. Favorite track: Bill's Micro Glitch.

about

Here it is - the 4th EP - still looking to walk that path between the "live performance made in the studio" and the "full studio construction"!
I've been working a lot on live performance a lot - with some of those techniques sneaking into the production here and there's also some vocal chops on two tracks.
The names are taken from the sound explorations where each track originated from...

Bill's Micro Glitch started life as an investigation into using the tiny 'micro glitches' that so brilliantly augment much of Mr Bill's music which then had vocal chops added - also in a Mr Bill style.

Craving began life as two drone samples from my daughters Crave which then got chopped quite a lot using some generative devices that I made.

Hitting the Gong was initially a generation of a load of 'gong' samples (an idea from a Ned Rush video) which went on to use a sample of the Morecambe Time and Tide Bell - ringing to signal the growing potential for impending climate catastrophe. The title also nods to a Minutemen track.

Disparity has more vocal chops stuck on top of a nice bunch of chords - in an attempt to move away from those one chord vamps! With the EP released in Tory conference week the title is a reminder that 'inequality' is now actually just 'disparity' - so apparently everything is really OK and all this is just the route map to a better place, probably to be called called Albion...

All the tracks (unsurprisingly!) get the signature GB angular beats treatment and a liberal helping of percussive sprinkles...

Thanks for checking it out!
